Another exciting ProTour racing from Belgium. Eat your frites and grab a cup of coffee as the 2012 K-B-K goes live at 8 am EST. After a dominant showing yesterday save the last 300 meters, Tom Boonen takes the line again, this time battling not only other Classics big men, but the squadrons of sprinter’s team eager to keep it close until the line. Chris Sutton of Team SKY, the 2011 champion, is bolstered even more today with the start of Mark Cavendish, while Garmin looks to transfer victory from Sep Vanmarke to American Tyler Farrar, still looking for some redemption after his embarrassing ‘cursing’ episode in Qatar.
You can read the 2012 race preview and the highlights from 2011 right here, and come on back later for another race recap.
The livestream will have pre-race chatter at 7.50 and should go to live racing action at 8 am EST.
