kolo t.c. is hitting the road to bring you as much coverage as possible after tonight’s Criterium races at Mount Pleasant. The Official Station Wagon of kolo t.c. will be making the lazy right hand exit to the beautiful campus of Central Michigan University just in time to see the aftermath of the CAT 4 Criterium finish and the flood of racers hitting the restaurants and establishments of Mt. P.
Tomorrow’s road races begin at 10am EST, with photos and recaps up and ready by tomorrow evening. The Pro1/2 Men’s and Women’s 1/2 categories will count for the Top Banana Competitions. Those numbers, and a probable new leader, will be posted by mid-week at the latest.
A special bon chance to the competitors at the M-22 Challenge this morning, include Epic Happens founders Matt Hodges and Marissa Bennett. Keep your eyes peeled for the super talented and tough Jake Ellis of Hagerty-TOLaw U-25 as he joins his Brick Wheels co-horts at M-22. It is safe to say he is going to be pretty darn tough to beat in the bike leg of that event.
Michigan Mountain Mayhem is already rolling out of Boyne City this morning, with riders clicking off up to 200km over the largest hills in the area. The event is growing in popularity and difficulty, and this edition is sure to thoroughly beat up on those tough enough to take the start.
If you aren’t racing this morning, be sure to check out the mountainous stage of the Criterium du Dauphine. With Bradley Wiggins dominating the time trial and keeping Cadel Evans in order over yesterday’s climb, it’s going to be one of the final chances for anyone to take time off the Brit for the GC. You can watch live coverage, picking up around 9am EST, right here.
