The final Inside Out stop is this Sunday. Get ready to rumble.
The last installment of the 2013 Inside Out Cyclocross Series will take place this Sunday, with a number of big guns looking to return to try their legs. With Barry-Roubaix and the Lowell 50 looming large on the horizon, the race is a final prep of top end fitness before the races begin in earnest.
The weather is looking to be much warmer than the last event which bodes very well for the mashers looking to return to Greenville. Craig Gietzen should be back looking to stay perfect with podiums in the series’ history, though he will have to battle an impressive roster. The Beebe brothers should return, along with a number of other riders looking for a final test of fitness ahead of the Spring Classics in Michigan.
Some familiar faces may elect to train instead of making the trip down. The daunting proposition of 62 miles at the end of March will demand some pretty high mileage, and will the roads only just cleared of snow, lots of folks will be looking simply to ride bikes. A lot. Don’t be at all surprised to see riders do multiple races as a way build up.
Racing starts at 2pm with the fat bike and C race, with the B and A race to follow shortly after. Registration is day-of only, so show up early to avoid getting plate #13.
