John O’Hearn continues to lead the WorldTour rankings after a strong ride at the Tour Competition.

It’s still John O’Hearn ahead of Cody Sovis on the World Tour, but last week’s Tour champion Ryan Kennedy made what has become his traditional leap in the standings after taking 48 points in July. Normally that would be enough to safely be the biggest haul of the summer, but the strong ride from Braiden Voss saw him equal the President on 48 points. It’s a huge jump for Voss, of course, and it sees him sneak into the top ten.

Behind Sovis sits his kolo t.c. teammate Dan Ellis, who is rumored to be gaining the team’s full support in this August’s Vuelta Competition. The gap back to third is 70 points, and it’s another 21 back to Kennedy, who now sits in fourth. It’s then Garrett Jenema, Wes Sovis, Voss, Jeff Galsterer and Jason Stuart rounding out the top ten.

This week, it’s a team effort for the Team Time Trial. Riders will see WorldTour points based on their team’s result, with the ranking coming on the first fastest rider’s time. For example, kolo t.c.’s squad will have Cody and Wes Sovis, with Dan Ellis. The last time of that threesome gets the kolo t.c. time. It’s an interesting balance of making the fastest group possible but also helping that third best rider to their best time possible.

Next week, it’s the random relay, with WorldTour points based off the combined fastest and slowest times of the night, which make a team. Then, the second fastest and second slowest combine for another team. Points will be doubled based on these results.

Then, the final Grand Tour of the season hits on August 17!
