Dearest Fellow Lycra Enthusiasts,
It’s with great pleasure that we open the kolo t.c. kit store. Before we ask you to flash your plastic to kit yourself out for 2018, we wanted to answer a few questions that might be floating around in your helmet-holders. We’ll answer those here. If you have other questions, email Wes.
Here is a link to the store, again, for reference. https://custom2.champ-sys.com/teamstore/?kolotc
Why would I spend money to make these Sovis twins rich?
Don’t worry, you won’t! These kits are at-cost. We want to offer a stylish, quality, and affordable kit to our friends and followers. We do not make money on these in any way. If you really, really want to spend more money, buy some kit and make a donation to NMMBA or Norte.
But do I have to be on the team to wear a kolo t.c. jersey?
Ha! No. The kolo t.c. “team” is Wes, Dan Ellis and Tim Bottrell. If you want to be on our “team” you can email me here. You don’t even need to order a kit to ride “for” us. We want cool, happy, smiling people to wear this kit. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to semi-professionals, indoor cyclists, fast or slow; doesn’t matter. We just get a kick seeing people flying the kolo t.c. flag on the roads and trails.
We think of ourselves not as a team, and not even a club. We’re a community. Everyone is welcome.
There are a lot of options on here. Which type of jersey or bibs should I get? Are the more expensive versions that much better?
My advice is to stay away from the cheapest version of the Champ-Sys bibs. The elastic above the knees is super uncomfortable, at least it is for me. I went for the second least expensive bibs, and the $68 summer jerseys. I also recommend getting a long sleeve jersey. We live in Michigan. You will undoubtedly get your money’s worth with it.
I’m stoked! When will I get the kit?
The store is closing January 26th. We expect a turnaround time of 4-8 weeks. So, it’s really, really likely you’ll have your order before Barry-Roubaix. If you don’t live in TC, be sure to have your order ship to your house. There’s also the option to have your kit ship to me and I can get it to you. And by that I mean I will meet you at Breakaway Cafe to hand it over to you. I live there, pretty much. So that’s where we’ll meet; maybe even share a burrito.

Thanks, cycling fam. We love you. You’re wonderful and beautiful and unique. You’re everything we wish we could be; you’re everything that we’re not.
Enjoy the Ride,
Wes and (to a lesser extent) Cody
