Jeff G. is a good dude. When Cody got stung by a bee and fainted (so manly), it was Jeff G. who was most protective of our stricken, in and out of consciousness rider (again, a bee did this) and led the group’s efforts to make sure our favorite blogger made it out of the woods to live the rest of his life and pay off a pretty big hospital bill. Thanks, Jeff. We owe you one.
If you don’t know Jeff, you should introduce yourself sometime. He’s been a Speed of Light fanatic since day 1, loves repping the kolo kit, and is one of the nicest dudes on the trail. He’s living proof that you can balance work, family, and bikes, and have a darn good time doing it.
Without any further adieu, meet Jeff.
Why are you excited about riding for kolo tc?
I’m excited to be associated with such a great bunch of people. Plus the kit design is bangin like Jet centerfold.
What/who got you into cycling?
I visited my uncle in Northern California back in ‘86. I rode his mountain bike every day for two weeks. When I came home I took my life savings and bought a Rockhopper.
What events are you most looking forward to in 2020? Why?
SOL. Contrary to how it is billed, there is nothing fake about it. It’s real racing every week.
What’s one cool thing about you that’s not bike related?
I can play Sultans of Swing on the ukulele. Even the solo’s!! (Ed. note: Yes, you can bet your ass we’ll get video evidence of this over the course of the summer.)
What’s your favorite beer?
St. Ides in the 40oz jumbo.
Our boy Jeff is a BFD on Strava. Follow him for all the best mountain bike rides in northern Michigan. Thanks for being on the team, Jeff. It wouldn’t be the same without you.
