Sarah Drews returns to our squad in 2020 to offer us a little horsepower and just a really good attitude. A mountain bike specialist, who also dabbles in tandem riding with her husband, Jaden, Sarah isn’t afraid to try any race, any time.
In 2020, she’s also taking on a new challenge in the fall – a half-marathon in Marquette. We’ll be cheering her on all summer on the mountain bike trails and on her runs; we can’t want to see her crush a half-marathon and then herd her kids at the Slush Cup at Iceman in November.
Get to know our mountain biker, runner, mom, baker, and task-master to Jaden, Sarah Drews!
WHY ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT RIDING FOR KOLO TC?
I am excited to ride for Kolo, not only because it is an exclusive team of the highest caliber riders in TC, but also, because it’s a darn great group of people who are nice, talented, and who love to help in the cycling community.
WHAT/WHO GOT YOU INTO CYCLING?
It’s cliche, but my husband, Jaden (the flying cyclist) Drews was super into cycling, and I thought I should try and join him. I love the outdoors and cycling is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty that Michigan has, and getting some exercise too.
WHAT EVENTS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2020? WHY?
I am most excited for Barry Roubaix, because It will be Jaden and my first tandem race, and win, lose, or dfl, it’s going to be a darn fun time! (This survey was sent out before the race was canceled.. sad face)
WHAT’S ONE COOL THING ABOUT YOU THAT’S NOT BIKE RELATED?
I love to make cakes that taste delicious🙂 (ed note – they are indeed delicious)
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BEER?
I am more of a cider fan, and love Cinnamon Girl from LFC, or El Chavo Cider from Blake’s.
