As the 2012 edition kicks off across the Atlantic, nestle in and enjoy the first stage from last year’s race in the comfort of you very own home or office chair. The race began in earnest with the first stage over the cobbles and climbs eliminating riders from the group early and stringing out the peloton to a long thin line for much of the day . A jolly break away pressed on with some slight hesitation in the peloton on who would take responsibility to chase them down. Team RadioShack eventually picked up the bulk of the work, putting in some serious effort to bring back the breakaway, but HTC John Degenkolb kept pace and hid amongst the rouleurs. Who won?
