As promised two weeks back, Barry-Roubaix Week’s last post before the race is dedicated to Emily Batty, as all things should be. There’s nothing else to do now, Brave Racers, but pack and repack, eat and eat more, and get a good night’s sleep. The race will go on, rain or shine, for the best or for the just fine. Smile. Relax. It’s a bike race. Ride like the wind. Ride like Phil and Paul are calling your race, the Favorite. Give it your all: in the immortal, wise words of Joe Sovis, “Remember, it’s a race.”
