Paris-Nice Time Trial LIVE! with Tirreno-Adriatico To Follow

It’s a beautiful day for some bike racing in Europe as the Paris-Nice wraps up and Tirreno-Adriatico heats up. As previewed recently, Paris-Nice will finish today with the classic Col d’Eze time trail. A 9.6km mountain route with absolutely no room for error, the time trial is the last chance for anyone to unseat SKY’s Bradley Wiggins, who leads Lieuwe Westra by 6 seconds and Alessandro Valverde by 18. His most dangerous competition may well have been brought down by bad luck yesterday when Levi Leipheimer crashed three times on Stage 7, the third and final time running into the back of a parked motorbike that was trying to protect a downed rider. For Leipheimer, a great TT may rescue a race that went wrong, very wrong, on the race’s second to last day.

His former teammate and fellow folically-challenge chum, Chris Horner, is into the lead at Tirreno-Adriatico but with the biggest mountain day of the Italian race this year. After responding to and holding with attacks from the Czech Roman Kreuziger and the LiquiGas duo of Vicenzo Nibali and Peter Sagan. Cameron Meyer of GreenEdge sits third 13 seconds back after yesterday’s fireworks, with Kreuziger just 7 seconds adrift of Horner.

Here’s early coverage of the Paris-Nice TT in Flemish and English, though the English may not be live until after 9am EST.

Tirreno-Adriatico will air directly following Paris-Nice on the Flemish channel, and will be tape delayed in English until 11.30am EST.
