Teaser Tuesday: Specialzed Epic 29er

Last year, Jaroslav Kulhavy became the first rider to win a World Cup race on a 29er. Then he did it again. And again. And a few more times. By the end of the season, it was hardly mentioned that he was the first person to become the World Champion on a 29er, because nearly every pro had made the switch for many of the circuit’s courses. Jaroslav Kulhavy is a big, strong, tough rider that is harder on his bike than any of us mortals. And the Epic is his tool of choice for every ride.

The Epic has changed mountain biking. Other brands are trying to replicate its success by copying its design, but they haven’t caught up yet. The Epic has Brain suspension technology, an advanced way of reducing wasted effort through bouncing, sagging and speed-sucking travel under pressure, but is capable of delivering a smooth ride over the roughest of terrain. The lower end models of the Epic aren’t going to float your boat if you’re a hardcore XC racer, but the top of the line units should make all of your wildest dreams come true.
