The Brockmiller Elite Endurance Out and Back: Iceman Prep in 70 Degree Weather

If you’re going to start doing a few Out and Backs, now is the time. Sunny, seventy degrees and back by some great folks, join in for a ride.

Brockmiller Elite Endurance and Einstein Cycles are teaming up to bring you the best Out and Back of the year. The Out and Back is an annual, seasonal ride that serves as a test of legs and mettle as the Iceman Cometh looms large. The route combines the gravel roads and trails to get to the race start in Kalkaska before turning back toward Traverse City and hopping onto the race course itself.

The typical ride lasts over three hours, and often can stretch past four hours if the sand is deep or the riders aren’t riding at a quick steady pace. All riders this Sunday will be responsible for finding their own way home should they fall off the back.

Brockmiller Queen BEE Lauri Brockmiller and BEE coach Jason Whittaker will lead the way from Einstein Cycles at noon, Sunday, September 22. We will ride through the Timber Ridge parking lot at 12.20 and head east toward Kalkaska, arriving at the school at around 1pm. The Ec van will be there with some snacks and water. Additionally, anyone who’d like a ride to Kalkaska before riding back can sign up on the event page via Facebook. That keep your ride closer to two and a half hours from K-Town to Einstein Cycles along the race course.

Questions, concerns, compliments? Just ask on the event page, or use the contact page here to find out more.
