Fantasy Cycling Is Fun And You Should Do It

Tirreno Adriatico 2014

Do you have 5 minutes and Wifi?

Einstein Cycles is offering up a $50 gift card (that’s 2.5 pom pom hats worth of gift card) and you have to get your sticky hands on a piece of that is create a fantasy cycling team. If you have any brains, you will make a team for next week’s Tirreno-Adriatico. And if you have any smarts, you will include fast, fit riders that will succeed on stages to earn you points.

With Chris Froome out, and now Marcel Kittel also yanked due to a hair appointment, the big GC names left in the race had to be Alberto Contador and Nairo Quintana. Mark Cavendish was also sick, but is still slated to make the trip to Italy. With Froome out, there’ll be some interest in who takes the reins for Team Sky, with Mikel Nieve and Leopold Konig expected to ride as co-leaders.

Tour champ Vicenzo Nibali will be on the line and looking for his first success of the season after a slow start in the Middle East and a lackluster start at Strade Bianche. There’s talk that Astana will be looking to take some wins before their license is possibly taken away in June.

Joaquim Rodriguez will be in the driver’s seat for Katusha, and with Andrew Talansky riding Paris-Nice, Dan Martin and Ryder Hesjedal lead the way for Cannondale-Garmin.

Peter Sagan has one win in 2015 and will be up against Cavendish, Sky’s Elia Viviani and MTN’s Gerald Ciolek. With the seemingly untouchable Alexander Kristoff sweeping up wins in France, someone is going to have a few great stages to take advantage of.

How do you get in on the fantasy action? It is easy. Go to this link. Make an account, a team, and join the Einstein Cycles Premier League. The League code is 09164034.

You aren’t going to win.
