Short’s Brewing Fat Bike Series Schedule

This year’s five-race series sees a new event cap off the Series and bring fat bike racing to Cadillac for the first time!

Fat & Flurrious – January 14

The Fat & Flurrious Fat Bike Race kicks things off in Boyne City. Choose from one or two laps for the Short’s or Long categories and pocked points early in the Series.

Fat Chance at Crystal Mountain Resort – January 21

Celebrating ten years of Fat Chance!, the second race of the SBFBS hits Crystal Mountain on January 21. This circuit-race style event is perfect for spectators and one of the most exciting races of the season.

North American Vasa – February 11

The North American Vasa Fat Bike Race is the de facto Fat Bike World Championship! Enjoy pristine NMMBA groomed trails and the lively atmosphere of NAV and Timber Ridge. With the new SBFBS points structure, this could be a vital day on the bike for Series contenders.

Dog Man Challenge – February 18

As things tighten up, the Series heads north to Mt. McSauba for another showdown. Known as one of the most competitive and fun races of the year, this will set up the final fight of the year and an important points haul.

Fatty Caddy – February 25

Brand new in 2023, the SBFBS wraps up on the Cadillac Pathway. This race is especially important after the Bear Claw Epic has died off; it’s the first chance to race at and support the Pathway in winter, too!

This event is also worth 1.5x points, which could prove crucial to those seeking a Series win!
